Sun Newspaper Discrepancy
The Sun Newspaper has paper and online versions. Their article on the Meadow Lakes' Sexual Predator Amendment vote in the paper version left out pertinent information at the end that was included in the online version:
"Barnett said the Hunt Club Homeowners Association in Avon made a similar change to their development's covenant in early April.
Attorney Steven Ott, whose firm is representing the Meadow Lakes Homeowners Association, said the proposed amendment is legal because sexual offenders are not a protected classification of individuals.
Ott said other homeowner associations in northeast Ohio and throughout the nation have passed similar amendments."
The online version includes these last three statements. |
Mom's Expo
The perfect way to spend the day before Mother's Day - St Peters School is having a Mom's Expo on Saturday, May 10th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the gym. There will be vendors from over 25 companies, raffles, free massages/manicures, and a chocolate fountain. Contact Michelle Brusio 327-6369 for more information. |
Dog Care Reminder
We've had incidents of loose dogs attacking other dogs. The City requires dogs to be on leashes. Please remember to keep your dog on a leash when walking them or while they are in your yard if you do not have an "invisible" fence. Dog owners need to pick up any "deposits" so everyone can enjoy the common areas. |
Development Wildlife
Our development has a wide variety of wildlife including many types of birds including Geese, Ducks, and Cranes. Some of the wildlife that has been seen in our development is a little more dangerous such as Coyotes, Eagles, and Hawks. For safety reasons you may want to learn more about these animals.
To learn more about Coyotes visit http://www.newportbay.org/coyotest.htm. To learn more about Eagles, Hawks, and other raptors visit http://www.raptor.cvm.umn.edu/raptor/info/home.html. Be careful out there, it's a wild wild world. |
