Sun Newspaper Discrepancy

The Sun Newspaper has paper and online versions. Their article on the Meadow Lakes' Sexual Predator Amendment vote in the paper version left out pertinent information at the end that was included in the online version:

Barnett said the Hunt Club Homeowners Association in Avon made a similar change to their development's covenant in early April.
Attorney Steven Ott, whose firm is representing the Meadow Lakes Homeowners Association, said the proposed amendment is legal because sexual offenders are not a protected classification of individuals.
Ott said other homeowner associations in northeast Ohio and throughout the nation have passed similar amendments.

The online version http://www.cleveland.com/thesun/news/index.ssf?/base/news-0/1208984304316040.xml&coll=4 includes these last three statements.

Board Meeting Update

The next Board of Trustees Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 beginning at 4:30 PM at the North Ridgeville Education Center Board Office, 5490 Mills Creek Lane (440) 327-4444.

Tree Lawn Trees Approved

Your Meadow Lakes HOA Landscape and Beautification Committee worked with Paul Blanchette, City Building Inspector to review tree types for size, height, maintenance issues, resistance to blight and pests, and hardy growth prospects. The City of North Ridgeville has issued their list of approved trees for tree lawns including important distance specifications for placement. View complete info from the City of North Ridgeville.

We are still taking requests for the bulk order purchase. If you are interested, please contact Allen Cooney at apcooney@yahoo.com. Cost is $160 + tax and includes a two-year warranty, OUPS check, delivery and installation. NOTE: May 15 is considered a safe date for planting to avoid any late frosts or freezes.

Dog Care Reminder

We've had incidents of loose dogs attacking other dogs. The City requires dogs to be on leashes. Please remember to keep your dog on a leash when walking them or while they are in your yard if you do not have an "invisible" fence. Dog owners need to pick up any "deposits" so everyone can enjoy the common areas.

Fountains

There are four pond fountains with electrical issues. Please be patient; they will be operating as soon as possible.

Pinky is a  beautiful 12 year old (female) calico cat.  She is well behaved and very dignified.  She will always greet you in the morning, loves to curl up on your lap or sleep in her bed.  She is healthy, spayed and does not go outside.  She does not and never has used her claws on anything.

The owner is going into assisted living and is heartbroken that he has to give up his best friend.  Please help us find a home for Pinky. Contact Barb Miller at 440-377-0337.
